The Shalom Tikvah Difference...

Our Mission: Shalom Tikvah is a non-profit organization that supports Jewish families facing mental illness and other challenging life circumstances by providing intensive services to promote individual and family healing.

The Challenge: Families on the brink of crisis do not receive enough mental health and supportive services due to restricted funding and service hours available.

Our Solution: Shalom Tikvah strengthens families by going into their homes and schools and providing mental health services based on need rather than insurance coverage. Participants receive an average of four hours of services per week to create healthy, strong, and happy families. Our services allow families to stay together and avoid foster care placement or hospitalization.

Our Success: Shalom Tikvah participants have reported improvements in mood, increased school attendance and performance, improved medication compliance, increased positive interactions between members, and a higher overall rating of life satisfaction.
